CHƯƠNG II. CÔNG PHÁ PART II

Hướng dẫn: Phần part 2 bạn sẽ nghe một câu hỏi hay câu nói và ba lựa chọn trả lời đọc bằng tiếng Anh. Tất cả chỉ được đọc một lần và không được in trong đề thi.Hãy chọn câu trả lời thích hợp nhật cho câu hỏi hay câu nói và đánh dấu vào chữ A B hay C trong tờ trả lời.

Mẹo làm bài:

–  Chữ đầu tiên trong câu hỏi sẽ giúp bạn biết đó là câu hỏi dạng gì. What, where, who, why, how – hỏi thông tin.

Do,does, did, are, is, will, can – câu trả lời thường có dạng yes/no.

–  Câu hỏi có “or” yêu cầu có sự lựa chọn thì không bao giờ là yes/no. “Did you stay at home or go out last night?” -> “I went to a movie.”

–   Thỉnh thoảng bạn nghe một câu nói, không phải là câu hỏi nhưng vẫn cần một câu trả lời.

“Thanks for dinner.” -. “You’re welcome.”

Bẫy trong câu hỏi

–  Chú ý đến các từ phát âm giống nhau (từ đồng âm). Ví dụ: too, two, to…

–  Chú ý các câu hỏi đuôi. Ví dụ: That movie was great, wasn’t it?

–  Cẩn thận với các câu trả lời gián tiếp. Đôi khi trả lời cho một câu hỏi yes/no lại không có từ yes hay no. Ví dụ; “Is there enough gas in the car?” -. “I just filled it yesterday”

2.1.  Phân tích cấu trúc trả lời và một số cụm từ quan trọng trong câu hỏi WHEN

2.1.1.   Cấu trúc câu trả lời

a.  Cụm thời gian + ago

Ex: when did you finish the report? 3 days ago

b.  When + động từ ở dạng quá khứ  đơn

Ex:  When did you start studying English?

When I was 6 years old

c.  Giới từ (on/ in/ at…)+ thời gian ở dạng tương lai

Ex: When are you going on vacation? On Saturday

            d.  When + động từ ở dạng hiện tại đơn

Ex: When are you going to come to the office? When she arrives

- Not until + thời gian ở dạng tương lai

Ex: When is the project expected to be finished? Not until next year

2.1.2.   Một số cấu trúc về When-question

a.  Một số câu hỏi phổ biến

-  When do you usually get to the office in the morning?

-  When is the seminar scheduled to begin?

-  When do you expect the repairman to arrive?

-    When are you taking your vacation this year?

b.  Một số cụm từ chỉ thời gian

-            next term

-            daily

-            monthly

-        annually

-          not until next week

-          the following Thursday

-          in a decade

2.2.  Phân tích cấu trúc trả lời và một số cụm từ quan trọng câu hỏi WHERE

2.2.1.   Cấu trúc câu trả lời cơ bản

-  Giới từ (in, on, at….) + place

Ex: where are you going to spend your vacation? In Rome

-  Go to + place/ to + place

Ex: where is the Sales Department? Go up to the second floor

To the second floor

2.2.2.   Cụm trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn Ex: Where is the Opera House? It’s in front of the bus station

           - Câu trả lời không có nơi chốn cụ thể
 Ex: Where is the annual budget report? Anna took it early this morning

2.2.3.   Một số cấu trúc về Where-question thường xuyên xuất hiện trong đề thi

-                    Where is the nearest station?

-                    Where can I pay for this shirt?

-                    Where did you buy that briefcase?

b.  Một số từ chỉ nơi chốn thường gặp

-                   Across the street

-                   Around the corner

-                   At the next corner

2.3.  Phân tích câu trả lời và một số cụm từ hay xuất hiện trong câu hỏi WHO

2.3.1.   Cấu trúc câu trả lời

1.  Tên riêng

Who has been invited to the banquet? Mr. Martinez

2.  Vị trí công việc

Who is in charge of the marketing department now? The former sales director

3.  Tên công ty hoặc phòng ban

Who has designed the new office building? The Design-House Company

4.  Đại từ cá nhân

Who has the annual budget report? I do

5.  “I don’t know type”

Who will be in charge of the project? It hasn’t been decided yet.

3.Mốc thời gian(Points of time)

    How soon can you deliver the item? Next Monday at the latest

4.  Giải thích về việc gì đó (Explanation of how things were done/are done

How did you fix that TV set so quickly? My brother is a repairman

2.4.2.   Những câu hỏi cần thiết hay xuất hiện trong kì thi Toeic

1.  How did you learn about this position?

2.  How big is that apartment?

3.  How much does it cost to repair the equipment?

4.  How many workers do you have in your company?

5.    How about shipping the materials tomorrow? Let’s ship the materials tomorrow

6.   How come she failed to meet the deadline? (tại sao cô ấy lại không đúng

hạn?)

7.  How far is it from here to the airport?

2.5.  Phân tích câu trả lời và một số cụm từ hay xuất hiện trong câu hỏi WHY

2.5.1.   Cấu trúc câu trả lời

1.  To + V (để diễn đạt mục đích/ ý định)

Why are you going to Paris on Friday? To help open our new branch

2.    Because/ Due to/ For

Why are you working so late this evening? Because I have to finish this  project

3.   Bỏ từ “Because” (Omissions of because) Why did we change our office supplier? (Because) Their deliveries were always late.

4.  Giải thích/ diễn đạt ý kiến cá nhân (để trả lời câu hỏi Why ~not) Why aren’t the computers working

I think there is a problem with the main power.

2.5.2.   Một số cấu trúc hay xuất hiện trong kì thi Toeic

1.  Why is the construction being delayed?

2. Why don’t you come to the beach with us? (Answer: that’s a good idea/ that sounds good/ I’d love to)

3.  Why is the road closed today?

4.  Why was the flight delayed?

5.  Could you tell me why all these computer terminals are turned off?

2.6.  Phân tích câu trả lời và một số cụm từ hay xuất hiện trong câu hỏi WHAT

2.6.1   Cấu trúc câu trả lời

1.  Danh từ chỉ thời gian, màu sắc, loại hình cho câu hỏi: what time/ what color/ what kind of…(Nouns that refer to time, colors, categories…) What time will the movie start?

Five o’clock

2.    Sai khiến cho câu hỏi (What should I do…)(Imperatives) What should I do with this package? Give it to the manager

3.  Tân ngữ của ngoại động từ (Objects of transitive verbs) What did you buy yesterday? Office supplies

4.  Ý kiến cá nhân cho câu hỏi: What do you think of~/ What’s your opinion~?

What is your opinion of the bank’s new lending policy? I think it’s a little bit dangerous.

1.  What kind (type, sort) of lodging/ accommodation do you need?

2.7.  Phân tích câu trả lời và một số cụm từ hay xuất hiện trongcâu hỏi YES/ NO

2.7.1.   Cấu trúc trả lời

1.  Yes/No + S: Chủ ngữ phải liên quan đến nội dung của câu hỏi Did the technician fix our system? Yes, he was very skilled

2.  Yes + thông tin thêm cho nội dung trong câu hỏi

Are you looking for anything in particular? Yes, I need a gift for my mother’s birthday.

3.  No + thông tin giải thích tại sao thông tin trong câu hỏi không đúng Were you late to work this morning? No, I arrived on time

4.Không trả lời trực tiếp “yes/ no” Do you carry sports shoes in this store? They’re displayed over there.

2.8.1.   Cấu trúc câu trả lời

1.  Yes/ No, không quan tâm đến dạng câu hỏi được hỏi

-  Didn’t you complete your report yet? Yes, I did/ No, not yet

-  It was not a great performance, was it? No it wasn’t / Yes, it was

2.  Yes/ No + thông tin thêm

               -Hasn’t Paul left the office yet? No, he’s working overtime

1.  Shouldn’t we take a break? Yes, that would be nice

2.  Aren’t you happy about the increasing student enrollment numbers? Yes, the figures are much higher lately
